Trek Overview
The K2 Base Camp Trek follows the Baltoro Glacier deep into the Karakoram, passing some of the most dramatic mountain scenery on Earth. Trekkers walk alongside porters and climbing expeditions en route to Concordia, the amphitheater of four 8,000m peaks, before reaching the foot of K2 itself.
This is a serious high-altitude trek requiring good fitness and prior trekking experience. Nights are spent in tented camps along the glacier.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1-2 Islamabad to Skardu
Fly or drive from Islamabad to Skardu, the gateway to the Karakoram. Rest and prepare permits and gear.
Day 3-4 Skardu to Askole, trek to Jhola
Drive along the Shigar and Braldu valleys to Askole, the last village, then begin trekking towards Jhola camp.
Day 5-10 Trek via Paiju, Baltoro Glacier, Concordia
Multi-day trek along the Baltoro Glacier through Paiju, Khoburtse, and Urdukas, reaching Concordia at the heart of the Karakoram.
Day 11 Concordia to K2 Base Camp
Trek from Concordia to K2 Base Camp on the Godwin-Austen Glacier, directly beneath K2.
Day 12-14 Return trek and drive to Skardu / Islamabad
Retrace the route back to Askole, drive to Skardu, and fly back to Islamabad.
