Tour Overview
K2 Base Camp is not just a trek — it is an expedition. Standing at 5,100 metres at the base of the world's second-highest and most dangerous mountain, surrounded by the greatest concentration of high peaks on earth, is a life-defining experience. The Baltoro Glacier — one of the longest outside the polar regions — is your highway into this wilderness.
Heritage Hike provides a fully supported K2 Base Camp expedition: licensed government guide, experienced high-mountain assistant guide, cook team, full porter team, and all logistics from Skardu. Previous high-altitude trekking experience is required. This is a challenging, demanding, and utterly unforgettable journey.

Seasonal Travel Tips
The only viable trekking window is late June to early August. July is the most stable month on the Baltoro. June has more weather variability but fewer trekking parties. Book 4–6 months in advance — porter availability and permit processing require significant lead time. Travel insurance with helicopter evacuation coverage is non-negotiable.
