Best months: June–September for Deosai wildflowers and wildlife. May and October offer fewer crowds. Skardu flights are heavily weather-dependent — always carry 1–2 buffer days. The Skardu–Islamabad road (14–16 hrs) is an alternative when flights cancel.

Is altitude sickness a concern in Deosai?
Deosai sits at 4,114m and some travellers feel mild altitude symptoms. We ascend gradually from Skardu (2,438m). Drink plenty of water and avoid rushing. Our guide carries basic altitude medication.
When is the best time to see wildflowers in Deosai?
July and August are peak wildflower season in Deosai. The plateau turns vivid green and purple with alpine blooms. Brown bears are also most active in this window.
