Nanga Parbat Base Camp
A dramatic high-altitude trekking destination offering close-up views of Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world.
Destination Overview
Nanga Parbat Base Camp (Raikot Face) sits at approximately 4,200 meters and is one of Pakistan’s most iconic trekking destinations. Known as the “Killer Mountain” due to its challenging climbing history, Nanga Parbat dominates the skyline with its massive vertical relief.
The trek to base camp typically begins from Fairy Meadows, passing through Beyal Camp and alpine meadows before ascending into rocky glacial terrain. The final viewpoint offers breathtaking sights of towering ice seracs, glaciers, and the immense Raikot Face rising dramatically above.
Unlike technical climbing expeditions, this base camp trek is achievable for trekkers with moderate fitness and proper acclimatization.
